WORLD ENVIRO DAY 2008
FOR WORLD ENVIRO DAY 2008 WE HAVE BEEN LEARNING ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT AND HOW OUR ACTIONS REALLY HAVE AN IMPACT ON IT. WE HAVE LEARNED ABOUT THE EARTH’S RESOURCES AND HOW WE CAN TRY TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT AND IT’S NATURAL RESOURCES. WE ALSO LEARNED ABOUT THE GREENHOUSE AFFECT AND THE CAUSES OF GLOBAL WARMING. IN CLASS WE DISCUSSED WAYS THAT WE CAN REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR ENVIRONMENT.
ON WORLD ENVIRO DAY WE HAD A GLAD FREE DAY. WE ALL MADE SURE THAT WE BROUGHT OUR LUNCH IN CONTAINERS OR RE-USABLE BAGS TO TRY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO THE AMOUNT OF WASTE PLASTIC THAT IS CREATED IN OUR PLAYGROUND.
WE ALSO CREATED POSTERS WITH MEANINGFUL MESSAGES ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT.
WE ALSO HAD A “JUNK 2 FUNK” DAY WHERE WE USED OUR GREEN THINKING HAT TO CREATE FUNKY OUTIFUTS FROM JUNK. WE HAD LOTS OF FUN LEARNING ABOUT WAYS THAT WE CAN REDUCE – REUSE AND RECYCLE.
WE HOPE THAT YOU ALL TRY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO AS WE ONLY HAVE ONE WORLD AND IT IS UP TO US TO PROTECT IT.

Well Done Room 21. You have been working this hard learning about all the ways that you can make a difference to our environment. I am impressed with your commitment to really making a difference.
Your Worl Envir Day posters are awesome and your Junk 2 Funk creative costumes were spectacular.

Dear R21, I am really impressed by your work on the environment and how you can all make a difference. Today I was making a difference to my garden by planting beautiful, perfumed plants , recycling my waste and feeding the wonderful, small birds which are nesting in the trees and shrubs growing there. I have just bought some new feeders which are predator proof so cats, crows and squirrels cannot steal the seeds and nuts , which the birds adore. I loved your pictures of your Junk to Funk creative costumes although my favourite pictures are those which show me glimpses of your classroom and all the the work you do! Keep up your good work. The activities you guys did for World Environment Day looked very interesting and fun!
Its so cool that you guys made some differences. Taking small steps at a time will soon make a big difference =]
The costumes look wicked. Very appealing =P Everyone in Room 21 is so creative!

IT WAS GREAT TO SEE ALL OF YOU CARING SO MUCH ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT. IT REALLY SHOWS HOW HARD YOU WORKED. WELL DONE THAT WAS EXCELLENT.
